Northgate, Adelaide

Sarah Hughes

As you would probably expect, I love playing the piano!  I also love teaching (both my parents were school teachers) and I have a genuine interest in working out how each child ticks, especially those with learning difficulties or quirks.

Some random facts about me:  I love cats.  I enjoy quilting and have a slight obsession with buying fabric.  I try to lead a conservative Christian life with my husband, son and daughter, and regularly play the organ for our congregation.  (I also hang out my washing with colour coded pegs but don’t tell anyone that!)

I have qualifications in piano performance and education.  I take my professional development seriously and regularly attend events to update my knowledge, most recently the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conference.
